Welcome to South Riding Dance Academy's Web site.	Celebrating 10 Years!  Welcome to the South Riding Dance Academy (SRDA, Inc.) Web Site! Founded by the owner, Heather Ann Taylor, in October 2000. We offer dance to ages 3 through adult in tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pom, pointe, & contemporary with a wide range of scheduled classes to accommodate your busy schedules. Through our Musical Theater Acting Department, currently in it's 3rd season, students are able to express their selves in a whole new way at our dance studio. They will study a wide range of peices from comedy to Shakespere. And, just like dance class, they will end their season with a performance to remember. At SRDA, we encourage our students to be confident, learn self discipline, and self worth through the expression of dance. With our professionally trained staff, we strive to reach a higher standard of instruction and focus on not only teaching dance but to make each and every student feel important in our structured classes. We also find it very important to keep a family oriented atmosphere. Parents and siblings are welcome to enjoy all events and offerings at our studio. SRDA, Inc. is a 10 month program (September through June) and we follow the Loudoun County School System. We cater to ages 3 through adult and offer tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pom, lyrical, point, and Acting.  Not only do we offer recreational dance classes to students of all ages, we are a Competitive Dance Studio. Meaning, we offer "Company" classes. These classes focus on a more  intense technique and class structure to students who are serious and dedicated to the program. (Students are accepted into Company by Audition Only.) Our tuition is a monthly fee. We DO NOT charge recital fees, or Company Member fees. However, we DO sell tickets to our Annual Dance Recital. All attendees are required to buy a ticket if you wish to enjoy our show. SRDA, Inc. requires all student to follow our dress code. Students ages 3-4 should wear a pink leotard, pink tights, and the appropriate dance shoes. Students ages 5 and up are required to wear a black leotard, pink tights, and the appropriate dance shoes. Dane pants, shorts, or skirts are not required but are welcome in class. We do not allow pants or shorts to be warn during ballet instruction. We communicate most of our newsletters and information through e-mail or our web site. If you have small children attending classes, please visit our office once a month to check on the status of events and your account.	Tiny Toes Dance Academy is in it's 3rd season with the SRDA Family. Mrs. Helen Johnson, a current SRDA staff member and Company Instructor has founded her own company. Tiny Toes Dance Academy is dedicated to focusing on children ages 18 month to 5 years. The program is designed to help your child begin the exploration of creative movement and will develop the early stages of coordination and self confidence. Take South Riding Blvd. 2 miles and the Dance Studio is in the last shopping center on the right.	SRDA, Inc. is an Official sattelite Dance Studio for the Washington Redskins Junior Cheerleading Program. If your Northern Virginia based daughter dreams of being a profession NFL Cheerleader, SRDA offers that opportunity. We will be starting our 3rd season in August. With registration, your Cheerleader will receive an authentic Washington Redskins Junior Cheerleader uniform, poms, warm-up suit, meet the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, perform 3 home game shows at FedEx Field, and at the end of the season will receive a DVD of all performances. Rehearsals are conveniently held at SRDA with one mandatory Team rehearsal at FedEx before every home game performance.
